The Ambassador of the European Union (EU), His Excellency Herve Delphin paid a courtesy call on the Hon'ble Chairperson today.

The Chairperson warmly welcomed the Ambassador and expressed gratitude for the European Union's support particularly through Project Nyamdrel.

The discussions focused on enhancing parliamentary processes, with the Ambassador also expressing concerns on the declining women representation. In response, the Honorable Chairperson affirmed Bhutan's steadfast commitment to gender equality and emphasized the importance of continued capacity building for Parliamentary staff.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to foster cooperation and enhance bilateral ties between Bhutan and the European Union.
