
Submission of the Annual Audit Report 2023-2024

Tashi, Auditor General of the Royal Audit Authority (RAA), called on His
Excellency Sangay Dorji, Chairperson of the National Council of Bhutan, to
formally submit the Annual Audit Report for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
The report, published in two volumes, presents key findings on government expenditure, financial management, and public sector accountability across various ministries, departments, and agencies. It highlights critical observations and recommendations aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and the prudent use of public resources.
During the meeting, the Auditor General and the Chairperson engaged in an in-depth discussion on the audit findings and their implications for policymaking and governance. They underscored the importance of addressing systemic issues to strengthen public financial management and enhance institutional accountability in the country.
The Chairperson expressed appreciation for the RAA’s continued efforts in upholding financial integrity and pledged the National Council’s commitment to reviewing the report to support informed policy decisions and effective oversight.
