The Chairman of the State Audit Commission of Thailand calls on the Chairperson

Prof Chaisit Trachoetham, Chairman of the State Audit Commission and his delegation from the Office of the Auditor General of Thailand called on the Chairperson of the National Council this afternoon.

Welcoming the delegation, the Chairperson briefed them on the role of the National Council. Apart from the institution’s mandate of legislating and reviewing laws, the Chairperson highlighted some of the distinctive features of the House such as ensuring apolitical character, maintaining continuity, and serving as the check and balance on government’s policies and programmes.

The Chairperson also reaffirmed the continuity to enhance the Thai –Bhutanese relation at every level.

The delegation arrived in the country on 22nd August 2016 and they are on a four-day visit.
