House Adopts Bill, Air Service Agreement, and Review Report in 16th Sitting

During its 16th sitting today, the House adopted the Air Service Agreement between the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of the State of Kuwait, the Alternative Dispute Resolution (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2024, and the Review Report on Rural Credit Access in Bhutan.

The Air Service Agreement with Kuwait was unanimously endorsed, with all 22 members present voting in favor.

The Alternative Dispute Resolution (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2024 was adopted with 13 votes in favor, 1 abstention, and 9 votes against, out of 23 members present.

The Review Report on Rural Credit Access in Bhutan received 18 votes in favor, with 4 members abstaining out of the 22 members present.

In line with constitutional procedures, the Air Service Agreement will be submitted to the Druk Gyalpo for Royal Assent as per Article 13(6). The Alternative Dispute Resolution (Amendment) Bill will be forwarded to the National Assembly under Article 13(5). The adopted review report, along with its recommendations, will be submitted to the government for necessary action.
