UNICEF Representative Calls on National Council Chairperson

The Representative of UNICEF Bhutan, Ms. Andrea James, called on the Hon'ble Chairperson of the National Council today.

The Chairperson expressed gratitude to UNICEF for the financial and technical support provided to the Parliament, highlighting the active collaboration and achievements ensuing from the partnership. He emphasized the importance of continued joint efforts and thanked UNICEF for its significant contributions toward legislation.

He also acknowledged UNICEF's positive impact in various programmes benefiting Bhutanese communities.

Ms. Andrea reaffirmed UNICEF's commitment to supporting Bhutan, particularly aiding the Parliament's developmental journey, advancing policy requirements, and realizing the 13th Five-Year Plan.

Deputy Representative Ms. Fawzia Hoodbhoy and Mr. Jigme Dorji, Social Policy Specialist, accompanied Ms. Andrea James.
